I Wander Alone
As I wander alone In the glistening evening snow.
And the fading winter sunset Reflects on the sea below.
My thoughts go back To much happier times shared. When we laughed together
Knowing how much we cared.
Now you have gone Leaving me alone and blue. But always and forever My love will remain ever true.
Emptiness surrounds me And that is how it will remain. Until the day arrives That you return to me again.

I was inspired to write this poem by the beautiful song "Something Missing" sung with such feeling by my cousin Petula Clark. I am sure the words to this song relate to a sad time in many of our lives. I know they do mine.
