Think twice before you offer an opinion
Or let your inner thoughts show
It's better to keep them locked inside
For only you to know.

Think twice before you reveal a feeling
On a subject close to your heart
It's not wise to to give an opinion
It will only set you apart.

Think twice for the sake of happiness
And your own peace of mind.
To offer an opinion however well meant
Will leave only heartache behind.

Think twice before you give an opinion
Or offer any well meant advice.
Keep those inner thoughts to yourself
Or you may well pay the price.

Only too often we give an opinion or offer our advice.
Although offered in all innocence it has a habit of backfiring on us.
The best way to avoid tears and heartache is to keep
our opinions and advice to ourselves.
Most of us have learned this lesson the hard way.
