Sentimental Journey
As we grow older we often dream way back to our childhood days. Remembering all the happy times
filled with childhood fun. Our loving parents our sisters or our brothers. In my childhood it was my sister Trish. The hobbies we shared...the dancing both tap and ballet! The endless practising at home. The hours our mother spent making costumes. The pride on Mum and Dad's faces as we performed on stage. Such happy family days!
As we grow older we often dream way back to our childhood days. Remembering the family fun at Christmas time. And the Christmas Eve the chimney caught alight. Trish and I really believed Father Christmas had arrived in a fire engine! We jumped into bed and shut our eyes tight fearing if we were not asleep Father Christmas would pass us by. Such happy family days!
As we grow older we often dream way back to our childhood days. Remembering the cold crisp mornings of winter. Dad singing "I'm a Little Prairie Flower" as he lovingly cooked our porridge! The warm cosy family evenings around the fire drinking mugs of hot chocolate as we all listened to the radio. Remembering the end of day precious moments. Mum or Dad reading us a bedtime story as they lovingly tucked us up in bed... with a God Bless and a kiss goodnight. Such happy family days!
As we grow older we often dream way back to our chilhood days. Remembering the long hot..happy summers. The sunday family outings to the sea. On bicycles of course! The splashing in the sea...the sandcastles. The picnics on the sand...sandwiches and lemonade. The laughter and the fun as we cycled home eating the end of day treat...ice cream. Such happy family days!
As we grow older we often dream way back to our childhood days. And we say thank you Mum and Dad for such happy childhood memories. Trish and I had such fun together as we grew from little children to adults... and we will never ever forget Our happy family days!

Trish,
you've been my sister
For so many years.
We've shared much laughter
And shed a few tears.
We've had harsh words
And pulled each others hair.
But you and me against the world
Make an unbeatable pair.
Our times together These days are so very few.
So I wrote these words to say Sister, I love you!
