My Prayers
Here in the quiet solitude of twilight
Under gentle reflections of the moon
I silently count my blessings
And hope my prayers are answered soon
As the deepening shadows of evening fall
And the warmth of day is done
I say my many prayers
Under the glow of the setting sun.
As moonlight glistens on the water below
So many prayers come to my mind
Some of them are for me, others are for you
But all of them are the sincere kind
As I see the shades of night falling
A time when prayers do come true
To a friend of mine facing the unknown
I say these prayers just for you
Here in the splendour of evening light
Under a sky of pink and blue
I look up to the moon and I softly whisper
"Please grant my prayers come true"

Most of us like to spend a part of our day alone with our thoughts and prayers What better time than in those magical hours of twilight This is our own time, a time to think and say our prayers. Some prayers we ask for ourselves, but many we ask for friends and loved ones. All my prayers at the moment go to a very dear friend who is about to face the unknown Pray hard enough...and they do sometimes come true.
