Only The Lonely

Only the lonely take the chances that they do
And only the lonely take chances this way
The computer and the internet their only way of life
Searching and surfing each and every lonely day

Sitting in front of a cold computer screen
Tapping in searches that they hope will finally bring
An end to their life of empty loneliness
And everlasting love that will make a lonely heart sing

In a never ending search to fulfill this dream
They live their lonely lives going from lover to lover
Lasting love and happiness they constantly fail to find
So each time one love fails they just move on to another

In their endless search to find lasting love
They go from a Peter,to a John then on to a Harry
Each one leading to inevitable heartache and pain
As they yet again face another broken promise to marry

Perhaps one day the lonely may at last wake up
And learn to find everlasting love to make a heart sing
You must be able to touch and feel to know the warmth
Only physical contact and the look of love can bring

Please listen all you desperate and lonely people
As with only good intentions and in all honesty I say
Before you are tempted to search online for "Who is next"
Just remember back to the deep heartaches of yesterday
