Whispers in the Night

I had a dream again last night
Echoes of words spoken in the past
Gentle whispers in the night
Of a dream that could not last

I saw the shadow of someone
Calling from far across the sea
Please, carry those words on the wind
And bring them here to me!

I heard this voice again last night
Calling once more to me
A solitary dream I cannot let go
Whispers from across the sea

We need to hold on to a dream
The promise of happiness it brings
Whispers carried to my shore once more
Flying without wings!
