Although you are now gone, my friend
We shared many happy years
The precious memories of our times together
Take away the tears!
We never know when death will take us.
This life just a spinning wheel
We never know how death will shake us
Or know how it will feel.
I remember our last months together
As I'm sure, so do you
I remember our many conversations
It was time, we both knew
Not even friendship could hold you
Even though I did try
I watched your life slowly fading
And I did not know why
So until we are joined in friendship again
These few words to you I send
