Faithful Friends
My faithful friend You mean so much to me. Sad eyes filled with devotion In you is what I see.
Good days and bad You are always there. Your head resting on my knee Showing how deeply you care
Our long walks together Mile after mile. You never leave my side And I look at you and smile.
Knowing the devotion Only you my dog can give. It's a forever kind of love For each day you live.
Constant companions We laugh and we play. So to you my gentle giant I have these words to say.
My faithful friend I just want you to know My love and devotion Is forever yours also.
You are my best friend Loyal and true. Forever and a day I will always love you

I wrote this poem especially for my husband Roy and his constant companion Bob. They are truly soulmates and share a bond only a man and his dog can. They give total and utter devotion to each other in a love that knows no bounds.
