Dream Cottage There is a simple little cottage Nestled snugly by the sea. It's windows shimmer in the sun As if calling out to me. Thick lush foliage surrounds it Sweet scent of flowers fill the air. It beckons out across the sea As a peaceful haven to share. Waves roll gently inward Brushing softly onto the shore. Sea birds run playfully on the sand Then over the cottage they soar. Two hearts will dwell in this haven Two souls will join together as one. Sharing love in this simple little cottage That nestles peacefully by the sea in the sun. © Betty Lindsey 9/17/04

So many of us carry a dream in our hearts of a secluded cottage tucked
away in tranquil surroundings. Only the gentle whispers of the sea
and the singing of the birds for company.
Here we know we could find total peace within, and the
happiness only nature can bring.
We must always remember that it is the simple things in life
that give us the most.
