Bracklesham Dreams
Bracklesham Bay has been in my dreams
For quite a number of years.
I remember many days of laughter
And sometimes even a few tears.
It's ocean breezes touched me
As I walked along the rocky shore.
Picking up fosseled sea shells
Searching and finding even more.
Sometimes a storm would roll in
Throwing waves high in the air.
I watched sea birds flying in the wind
So many precious memories to share.
I remember quick trips to the grocers
And all the smiling faces I would greet.
To be included as one in their little world
Was to me a most wonderful treat.
No one knows my feelings of sadness
When I lost my dreams some time ago.
And though I search but haven't found them
They're still there somewhere I know.
Yes, this was a second home to me
In my heart it still is so it seems.
Each night as I rest my head on my pillow
I pray let me go back to my Bracklesham Dreams.

We have joined together once more to build this special page. One of us writing the poem the other creating the graphics. As you know Betty has spent many happy times here with us over the last few years. We both share such wonderful memories. Hopefully Betty's dream of Bracklesham Bay will become a reality again very soon.
