Bobby And Me

The quiet of morning
Is our time for fun.
Under the gentle reflections
Of a rising sun.

So warm and inviting
Is the sun kissed sea.
As we play in it together
Bobby and me.

We frolic in the surf
Under the morning light.
Having lots of fun
As day replaces night.

How lucky we are
Bobby and me.
To have a loving home
Plus live by the sea.

Each and every night
As I snuggle by my dad to rest.
I thank God for my family
He gave me the best!

Written for Poppy

I wrote this poem for my beautiful labrador "Poppy".
She is such a fun loving little girl and she adores Bobby her
playmate. The highlight of her day is her trip to the beach.
You just cannot keep her out of the water.
She is also a softie and loves her tummy tickles from
my husband every evening. They sit side by side
on the couch and she snuggles up to him.
She has given us so much pleasure since we brought
her home as a puppy 3 years ago.
So I thought I would write a poem the way I think
Poppy sees her life.
