Here is where you get to know a
little about me and my computer
Almost
four years ago my husband and our son bought me
this computer.. I did not even know how to turn
it on... In fact I did not want to know how...I
hated it! I sat looking at something I was told
was called a desktop. Strange name for a screen
I thought! Then there was this mouse with no
legs or face I touched this faceless mouse..and
an arrow jumped all over the place I got a
vivid blue screen that frightened the life out
of me...and messages saying I had commited an
illegal operation How could I commit an illegal
operation touching a legless, faceless
mouse? No...computers were not for
me!!
For hours and hours I sat just looking
at this screen they called a desktop It was
almost challenging me...and I have never
been able to refuse a challenge. That was
when my addiction began!
Day after
day...night after night I practiced and
practiced...my efforts often ending in total
despair! Without even realising it...slowly I
was forming a love for the
computer. Eventually I progressed into web
graphics and building websites. Then began my humble attempt at writing
poetry with the help of my dearest friend Betty.
I have combined both my graphics and
my poetry to build Kaye's World.
